The Afternoon After

Like many D.C.-area bloggers I woke up this morning feeling a little less than my usual chipper self. That said, Blogger Inaugural Ball Sunday night was a rousing success. Many thanks go out to LiLu, Katherine and the Refugee for their efforts and planning so we could all have a lovely time celebrating tomorrow's inaugural.

It was good seeing old friends - the aforementioned LiLu and Ref - getting to know others better - notably Arjewtino - and making new friends altogether, especially Flipflops in the Rain and Was It For This. Of one thing I am sure, I am forgetting some of you. Feel free to yell at me in the comments and tell me how dumb I am for forgetting you. In my defense, sometimes it's difficult to keep names, faces and blogs straight when it's all combined with alcohol.

As for the picture below, we must have been a rowdy crowd. Either that or MPD just wanted to make sure the sidewalk outside The Reef was the best protected sidewalk in Adams Morgan. By my count, there's 12 officers mingling there.

Thanks again, I had a great time "tuxing up" and hitting the town with y'all. Enjoy tomorrow and try to stay warm.

It really is super hard keeping names and faces straight -- especially when drunk.

*ahem*

glad you made it out, though!

It was really good to meet you too. I can't wait for the next one -- where we'll meet even more people whose names and blogs we won't be able to keep straight!

Sarah - I had a great time meeting you too, hope you had fun dancing.

Tino - Thanks man. As Ferris said, "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."

Deutlich - Alcohol does tend to do that. It's surprising any of us remembered anyone by the end of the night.

flipflops - I think there's something planned for next month. Although, I must say, there were some names and blogs I kept straight.

Thanks for coming, darling. It's never a party without some true Tarheel representation...
