A sign of the Apocalypse? Well, maybe in Rio...

"There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch." - Nigel Powers, the fahza of British super spy Austin Powers.

See, I'm guessing the folks in Brazil, after getting beat 2-1 in the World Cup, are feeling kinda the same way about the Netherlands as Maurice Joseph Micklewhite.

All good things must come to an end.

Ah, the Dutch are fine people, especially compared to their neighbors! When's the last time the Dutch invaded anything?

Brando - They do grow good flowers there, don't they. And, just to be sure, I looked up the "Dutch military history" and they've actually done more than you'd think. In fact, there's Dutch soldier who've served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

LiLu - Does zat come wit a flapjack und a shigarette? No? Shigar und a waffle? No? Pipe und a crepe? No? Bong und a blintz? No? Well, then there ish no pleashing you.

uninitiated clueless soccer person here, but i get the feeling that this is kinda like if the browns somehow clawed their way into the playoffs and knocked off the colts in the divisional championship round. is that right?

magnolia - maybe not the browns, cause they're horrible and the Dutch aren't. They're just underachieving. Maybe more like when the Cards (or Saints) made their runs.
